The Casablanco Lounge, a hookah bar in Memphis, has been around since 2003 and serves up the most delicious hookah drinks in town.
The owners say they want to keep the hookah friendly and clean, which is why they are hosting a contest this weekend to see who can come up with the coolest hookah set.
To win, the owner will choose a winner to send to the Casablancan Lounge’s founder, Marlon Baraka.
For those who can’t make it, the Casabalancan will send a couple of prizes to Casablanchafriend.com.
The winners will be chosen at random and then announced on Monday.
“This is one of the more unique things that we have ever done,” Baraka told The Washington Times.
“It’s like a community event that happens over a few hours of hookah.”
Baraka, a veteran of the hookahs business, started the bar in 2005.
The Casabalacos is known for its signature hookah cocktails that include an ice cold, creamy lime, a shot of tequila, and an extra shot of Angostura bitters, according to its Facebook page.
The hookah was a popular drink for a time, but in recent years it has become a hot item among hookah aficionados in Memphis and beyond.
“We are so excited to host this contest and have such a great team to work with to bring this to life,” Barakas said.
The competition, which will last until Monday, will include the winners’ designs for a “hookah head” and a “hula hoop.”
The winners can choose from a variety of designs.
The winner of the contest will receive a free hookah glass, plus the Casa Bora.
Barakanas said he’s looking forward to seeing the winners.
“There’s so many people out there that are just getting into hookah and the fun part is making a great product for people who like to go out and do it,” he said.
“I can’t wait to see all of the designs and all of those amazing pictures.”
