BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) When you first walk into a Starbucks in the U.S., the hookah bar, which is a fancy-looking fixture that looks like a hookah bowl, is likely your first stop.
You could easily miss it if you’re not paying attention.
The hookah bars in most major cities, including Chicago and Boston, have a large and impressive logo that includes the word “hookah.”
The hookahs are a popular, mainstream alternative to traditional smoking and are marketed in large, colorful signage and advertising.
But their popularity has been slowly declining, according to some experts, who say they can no longer compete with the likes of cigarettes.
