Water pipes have been a popular recreational item for centuries.
In fact, one of the oldest references to hookah comes from the 18th century Ottoman Sultan Mustafa, who used it to clean his own pipes.
But as hookah’s popularity has grown and its popularity has spread beyond the Middle East and North Africa, hookah bars and restaurants have opened in cities across the world.
The popularity of hookah in Chicago has exploded in the past few years.
And, for the most part, Chicago’s water pipes are pretty awesome.
It’s just that some of them are a little too big to fit through.
And there are a lot of them.
We decided to put together a list of some of the best water pipes in the city.
We found a few different kinds of water pipes, and we took them to various locations in the Loop and on Chicago’s North Side.
We then made our own custom hookah bar, using a few of the more popular models.
And of course, we also got some samples of the most popular hookah hookah pipes on the market.
Check out our list below, and be sure to check out our picks for the best hookah joints in Chicago.
